We run Maths in the Movies workshops for schools, corporations and government organizations where we take staff on a tour of the math behind popular Hollywood movies over the years.
These are hands on workshops were participants get to actually crack codes and defuse a ticking time bomb, learn how to count cards and try and beat the casino at games of chance.
Movies and math topics covered include:
Code Cracking in The Imitation Game, Swordfish and Terminator 2
The Bus Jump in Speed
Card Counting and Bankroll Management in Rain Man, The Hangover and 21
Workshops last one hour.
Please contact us with the size of your group and organization type (what type of industry, what type of organizational structure, number of staff, demographics, average educational level) and we’ll let you know what exciting options we can put together for you.
Math Thrills at World Science Festival Brisbane 2017 – where we covered Code Cracking in The Imitation Game, Swordfish and Terminator 2, The Bus Jump in Speed and Card Counting and Bankroll Management in Rain Man, The Hangover and 21.
