I was invited to present the mathematical thriller initiative at a meeting organized by the Australian Office of the Chief Scientist and attended by members of the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Association of Mathematics teachers in Canberra, Australia.

There is currently an initiative to to bring “coherent, innovative, engaging and connected resources and support for mathematics education in years 7 to 10 – the best Australia has to offer – to teachers and students throughout Australia”.

I had a very busy day and met many interesting teachers and academics with a range of unique insights into mathematical education in Australia. Gave away 10 copies of the book to interested partners who we will hopefully be able to work with in developing it further.
